INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 tbsp. grapefruit zest
- 1-1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1-1/4 cups water
- Mint to garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Combine water, sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, add zest and let cool. Once cool, cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours until thoroughly chilled.
- Add zest and mix well. Churn ice cream maker according to the manufacturers directions.
- Once done, serve right away or store in the freezer until ready to use. Tip: If you want to serve it in grapefruit bowls, scrape out the grapefruit halves you've juiced and put them in the freezer. Serve frozen with a scoop of sorbet and mint leaves.
- Top with granola and enjoy!
